Välkommen till Vasa Studentmission!

Vasa Studentmission, VSM, är en kristen förening för sökande och troende studerande och unga vuxna i Vasa. Vi tror att det finns en personlig och verksam Gud som bryr sej om oss och har något att säga oss. Vi träffas för att vi vet att det viktigaste, bästa, dyrbaraste och härligaste är dettta: att möta den som älskar oss med en sån kärlek att Han var villig att dö för oss: Jesus.

Vår verksamhet består av samlingar varannan vecka. Samlingarna ordnas i Havtornen, Academill, som finns på Strandgatan 2. Höstens program inleds måndagen den 19 september kl 18 med en pizzakväll. Därefter ordnas regelbundna samlingar varannan måndag jämna veckor start 3 oktober kl 19. Vi kommer också att ordna en Alphakurs med start i oktober. En Alphakurs är en grundkurs i kristen tro som består av 10 kvällar uppbyggda kring mat, tal, smågruppsdiskussioner och gemenskap. Se mer info inom kort!..

VSM hör till den tvåspråkiga organisationen Finlands evangelisk lutherska Student- och Skolungdomsmission, FSSM, som i sin tur medlem i den internationella kristna studentrörelsen International Fellowship of Evangelical Students, IFES. IFES är världens största studentrörelse med över 350.000 medlemmar i 150 länder. För dej som är intresserad finns möjlighet att delta i internationella läger.

VSM har samma lärogrund som IFES:

The IFES doctrinal basis shall be the central truths of Christianity, as revealed in Scripture, including:
* The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
* The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment.
* The divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of Holy Scripture, as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
* The universal sinfulness and guilt of all men since the fall, rendering them subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
* Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin, solely through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
* The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and his ascension to the right hand of God the Father.
* The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.
* The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith alone.
* The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
* The one holy universal Church which is the body of Christ and to which all true believers belong.
* The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
